Brian brings over 25 years of experience working as a Civilian Government employee as well as a government contractor in several different capacities. His career began working at an SBA 8(a) government contractor where he provided systems engineering and integration support for several NAVSUP, NAVAIR and NAVSEA programs. In this position, he also assumed a role as a vital member of the proposal and business development teams. From there, Brian was recruited by a former manager into the US Department of Treasury to provide systems engineering and integration support in the modernization of the entire Information Technology infrastructure.
While in Treasury, as a project liaison between the Office of the CIO and Business Systems Directorate, Brian was also certified as a Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) for the systems engineering division. Working in the systems engineering division, he was a “founding” member of the Ownership Board where he sat as the Integration Process owner. Additional accomplishments included the design and implementation of the IRS Engineering & Technical Assessment Lab where all modernized systems engineering analysis and integration testing was performed.
Brian left the government to start his own SBA 8(a) Certified small business that provided Information Technology services and support to government agencies. He successfully negotiated Federal Government contracts including IDIQs totaling over $45 million in potential revenue. He was also responsible for building teaming relationships with major corporations including EDS, Unisys, HP, Qinetiq and Vencore. Further, he has assisted numerous small businesses and non-profit organizations with support including management, operations, business development, proposal development, grant writing and marketing.
Brian’s proudest accomplishments include coaching youth sports and establishing a 501(c)(3) non-profit that supports his wife’s yoga & wellness studio by providing free classes to Wounded Warriors suffering from PTSD.
